Welcome ye who seek knowledge of W.i.t.c.h.!

Before we get started, let me tell you a bit about this whole "Study of W.i.t.c.h." thing.
I pretty much grew up with the W.i.t.c.h. comics from Disney and turned into a dedicated fan and fan artist. On my many searches for references for one of my pictures or short stories, I discovered many (how I find) interesting facts that can't be found in the wikis.

Now you might say: "Why not just add them to the wikis, then?" Good question!

Answer: Because the wikis are already quite full as it is and they take some time to load and I wouldn't even know where to start adding my stuff. Also some of the wikis tell very different stories and don't always split their data into cartoon and comic when it comes to the source which I find very irritating.

So, new website. TADA!

What you'll find here:

  • Detailed explanations revolving guardians in general and the respective teams and members like W.i.t.c.h.
  • Special knowledge about customs, lettering, symbolism, history, objects, beasts of Kandrakar, Meridian, Arkhanta and many other worlds
  • Lists and descriptions of locations from the comics
  • Many images from the comics to support my facts (or theories)
  • Theories of mine concerning certain twists or facts of the comics (text that's written in violet colour)

For now I will focus on the comic, mostly because I don't know the cartoon well. If you have an idea of something that's missing or maybe want to have detailed infos on a specific topic, comic or cartoon, either contact me via guest book an the contact links there, or leave a comment under the study index or in the News or Memory Lane section.

In the study index you can find a list of all pages and sub pages of all the studies with a direct link and status report (new, in progress, updated, finished, locked, in planning).

What is WITCH?

W.i.t.c.h. is a magical-girl series by Disney.

The original idea came from Elisabetta Gnone who started the comic together with artists Alessandro Barbucci and Barbara Canepa under the supervision of Disney Italy in 2001.

In 2004 the W.i.t.c.h. comics won the German Max-und-Moritz price as best German comic-publication for children and teens. The comics were published in 64 different countries.

Over the years a cartoon series, mangas, video games and several novels were made under the franchise as well as a ton of merchandise.

The Story continues...

...in my comic project "W.i.t.c.h. Sovereigns"!
This project is the reason why I have been a little absent here. It's also based upon the studies I share here so the aim is to stay as close to the original as possible and continue where it left off.

"Summer break is over and the girls start another year of school. In Kandrakar they learn more about their roles as Sovereigns and a new adventure takes it's course."

Is anything missing? What would you like to see?
I am making polls and trying to include other fans and their ideas and opinions as much as possible.

Let's create the next W.i.t.c.h. Adventure together!

Typical Questions/Statements:

A.  Can I use the images you post here for own purposes?

Unless it says "by Enny" or "by me" under the picture I don't own any of the pictures here so I'm not the one to determine user rights. That means: Sure, whatever. Use them to your hearts content.

B.  I found something interesting in the Comics, too!

That's awesome! If you want to share it or correct me, leave a comment under the study index or in the guest book and I'll upload or edit it with credit to you here on the site. If you know the exact issue and page of the info you want me to include: Even better! That helps me find it faster!

C.  I don't agree with one of your theories.

That's cool! That's what they are for. If you want to debate about them or have other discussion topics or theories of your own do come forward in the comment section or the guestbook or just write me an e-mail. I'd love to get in touch.

D.  I only know the Cartoon.

That's perfectly alright. The cartoon is pretty nice I just don't know it very well. Maybe with your help we can, at some point, connect both comic and cartoon studies here.
